Belated Thanksgiving...
We went to California for Thanksgiving. I only took 3 pictures. Bummer! It was so much fun and the weather was to die for. There is nothing better then Josh spending 5 uninterrupted days with us. Thanksgiving morning we ran a 5k. Did I say ran? Maybe Josh did, but I walked most of it! I am so out of shape! Josh then went Jet-skiing and after we had Thanksgiving dinner. No wonder I am so out of shape...it was yummy.
Funny story...Josh's mom, aunt and I were shopping in Santa Monica with Savannah on me in the front carrier. I guess women in CA aren't around babies very often because over 15 people stopped to look at her. They especially wanted to know how I got that bow to stick to her bald head. I made comment after the 3rd person stopped me, but by the 20th we were laughing so hard. It was like she had never been out in public before. Babies in Utah just aren't that special I guess!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are so thankful for everything we have...now on to Christmas...can't wait!

4 MONTHS!
Weight: 15 lbs 2 ozs (88%)
Height: 24 1/2 inches (52%)
The best part about the appt. was that we can start her on rice cereal! That is music to a mothers ears when her baby doesn't take a bottle! We had fun with it last night...she is definitely interested, but doesn't really get it. She still prefers her hands!
We love you Savannah!

WOW!
So, my friend Natalie had this on her blog...how inspiring...a must read prop. 8 supporters...
Elder Neal A. Maxwell, BYU Devotional 1978
"Make no mistake about it, brothers and sisters, in the months and years ahead, events are likely to require each member to decide whether or not he will follow the First Presidency. Members will find it more difficult to halt longer between two opinions. President Marion G. Romney said, many years ago, that he had 'never hesitated to follow the counsel of the Authorities of the Church even though it crossed my social, professional or political life.' "This is hard doctrine, but it is particularly vital doctrine in a society which is becoming more wicked. In short, brothers and sisters, not being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ includes not being ashamed of the prophets of Jesus Christ. . . . Your discipleship may see the time when such religious convictions are discounted. . . . This new irreligious imperialism seeks to disallow certain opinions simply because those opinions grow out of religious convictions.
"Resistance to abortion will be seen as primitive. Concern over the institution of the family will be viewed as untrendy and unenlightened.... Before the ultimate victory of the forces of righteousness, some skirmishes will be lost. Even in these, however, let us leave a record so that the choices are clear, letting others do as they will in the face of prophetic counsel. There will also be times, happily, when a minor defeat seems probable, but others will step forward, having been rallied to rightness by what we do. We will know the joy, on occasion, of having awakened a slumbering majority of the decent people of all races and creeds which was, till then, unconscious of itself. Jesus said that when the fig trees put forth their leaves, 'summer is nigh.' Thus warned that summer is upon us, let us not then complain of the heat."

ONE MONTH!!
Our baby girl is 1 month old today! This has been the hardest, fastest, slowest, most life changing, rewarding, exhausting and crazy month of my life! I think I finally am getting a hang of this stay at home mom thing, well sort of. If one thing, being a mom has made me way more emotional/sensitive/spiritual. I think it's not only because of my new little spirit, but because of all the time I have to ponder. I have also had to give up my stubbornness and rely on my Heavenly Father more than ever. I want to quote part of an amazing post I read from a fellow blogger that helped me after a particularly crazy day.
"...And for my own load, I am grateful. I don't wish to carry it-and sometimes I even resent it-but I see it is my own, and I will bear it with all the dignity and faith I can muster. And I can humbly testify that I don't carry it alone. I recognize that my Savior carries the greater part with me (and He sweetly sends me help through family and friends too), and I know that yoked with Him I am able to move through the mud, push up against the dirt and grow."
I wish I could write my thoughts as well as she can...I am extremely grateful for my many blessings, especially my new little family. Lets hope for many more great months to come!

UPDATE and a funny email my sister sent me...

I hope this little story doesn't offend anyone...I thought it was so funny!
Grandmas Don't Know Everything
Little Tony had been playing outside with the other kids for a while. He came into the house and asked, 'Grandma, what's that thing called when two people sleep in the same room and one is on top of the other?"
She was a little taken aback, but she decided to just tell him the truth. "It's called sexual intercourse, darling." Little Tony just said, 'Oh, OK,' and went back outside to play with the other kids.
She was a little taken aback, but she decided to just tell him the truth. "It's called sexual intercourse, darling." Little Tony just said, 'Oh, OK,' and went back outside to play with the other kids.
A few minutes later he came back in and said angrily, "Grandma, it isn't called sexual intercourse. It's called Bunk Beds. And Jimmy's mom wants to talk to you."

A weekend of freedom...
So this past weekend Josh and I celebrated our freedom in many ways. We not only celebrated the freedom we enjoy by living in such a great country, but we also celebrated what might be our last weekend of freedom without children!
6 days until my due date! Crazy! I will post what my doctor says at my Wednesday appt! We are getting anxious and I am melting away daily. Other than that I am feeling great!
