Advice please!

So my baby girl is going to be one before I know it. This means a new car seat! Wasn't I just researching the one she's in now? Anyway, I am starting my search now because I want to find the best deal on a good car seat...Tell me what you think...do you like yours? Wish you got something else? Let me know fellow mommies!
Of course I would love this...
The Britax...I know it's the best but I don't want to/have the money to spend on it!

Then I saw this...
Safety 1st...Half the price...all the same hookups, up to 80 pounds, yada yada yada...

What do you think? Leave a comment and let me know what brand you like!
Thanks!

I just have an inexpensive brand that I like and an Eddie Bauer one that is about the same. The only thing to make sure you look for is head support on the sides for when she falls asleep.

Britax Marathon is most safe, which is most important with a carseat- spend the $$. Everyone that I know who gets a cheaper one originally , buys the britax in the end.

This one is a great deal

Britax Marathon. Look for coupons online like here...http://www.retailmenot.com/view/babiesrus.com. We saved 15% off our carseat.

I would shop at Costco they always have great car seats, for good prices! I think the brand is Safety 1st.
Check Costco out online. (I personally like the car seats that can recline, so when they fall alsleep they can lay back.)

I had fun having you and all the girls over to my house last week! I am going to add you to my blog too, oh and your little girl is just adorable! She look so much like you.

I wanted the same Britax carseat! They are so cute. I ended up buying the Graco Naultius and LOVE it. I wish I had two of them actually. Sally rides in Tate's old carseat (one of the Evenflo circular looking ones) and it it was too wide with all three sitting by eachother in the car. My friend just bought the Naulitus and loves it as well. Not too wide which is a huge deal when you have your next. It is the most bang for your buck in my opinion!

I HATE my big giant carseats! I just sold both of mine at a yard sale for $15 (they were $120 each when I bought them) and purchased the Cosco brand one at Wal-Mart for $49.00. They are SO much better, all of the padding and creases in the other ones get so gross and toys get lost in them, plus they were really hard for my kids to get in and out of. I would get the one with the least features, as basic as possible, and then buy a head/neck support to insert that you can remove later when she gets bigger and you don't need it. Good luck, I HATE buying carseats because I am never happy with them! BTW, the Cosco cheap ones actually got really high safety ratings as well. :)

I have a Graco and we started using it when Jackson was 9 months old. Im so with Matt and Mandy on the big gulky expensive gross ones. Keep it simple. And we got ours at a store like Kid 2 Kid. They certify them and stuff and you save a million dollars. Okay, that's exaggerating. But anyway.... good luck!!!

i bought a super cheapy at first... hated it.. not good for traveling. Then i went to big lots (bet you like the sound of that) and got a nice one... all cushy with all the gadgets... now i kinda don't mind the cheapy anymore .. the big and bulky is kind of annoying. Anyway, final conclusion get a cushy one but it really just needs to be simple, bells and whistles not needed. The one thing i DO like is the reclining feature. It seems so much more comfortable for them while they sleep :)

i can't believe she is going to be in a big girl seat soon :) what a big girl!

Hi! I just found your blog through Lindsay's. We just bought the Britax Boulevard online in the Madison print for like $100 less than the other prints because they are discontinuing it. I think I bought it at a site called BabyAge or something. Anyway, it is gorgeous, so comfy, so sturdy, and so safe. Spend the money! It's worth it to know you have the safest car seat out there.

Hope you guys are doing well!

I LOVE my Britax and yes it does recline, but you are a travler (by plane, not car) and in a year from now when Sav doesn't travel free and you have to take your carseat, I'm pretty sure the reclining ones don't meet the flight saftey standards (says my sis-in-law who tried to fly with hers)Cohen didn't mide the recline when he had just turned 1 but after a few months he hated it and now I only use it if we will be driving for a long ways.
